HONOLULU — A 29-year-old man suffered injuries to his legs Wednesday while paragliding on the east side of Oahu.

Honolulu Emergency Medical Services tells the Honolulu Star-Advertiser (https://bit.ly/1wMyF2Q) that the man landed hard on rocks near “Baby Makapuu” beach off Kalanianaole Highway.

Fire Department Capt. David Jenkins says the man suffered a broken right leg and a broken left ankle.

He was transported to a hospital in serious condition.

Firefighters took a call on the crash at 2:45 p.m.
